1 Application of thermal transfer of stationery
The application of thermal transfer of stationery is already very common, especially for mid-to-high-end stationery.
The thermal transfer process can make colorful patterns blend into the surface of stationery, and it is not easy to fall off, waterproof, durable, and resistant to boiling. The transfer process is formed in one step. While meeting the needs of personalized appearance decoration of stationery, it is more suitable for mass production and processing.
Below, we take the thermal transfer of stationery pencils as an example to briefly understand the entire thermal transfer printing process.

1) Thermal transfer of pencils artwork design
Any printing process requires the design of layout and determination of patterns before printing.
The pattern design of pencil thermal transfer film needs to be arranged according to the shape, size, and material of the pencil using computer editing software. Common application software includes Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
2) Pencil thermal transfer - thermal transfer plate making
After the layout of the pencil thermal transfer pattern is completed, it is generally delivered to the electric engraving plate making manufacturer for production.

Pencil thermal transfer film printing
According to the thermal transfer electric engraving plate, pencil thermal transfer film printing begins.
The process of pencil thermal transfer film being formed by a printing machine requires 6 processes. They are: ① Coating the pencil thermal transfer base film; ② Release the base film; ③ Print the pencil thermal transfer pattern on the base film; ④ Adhesive glue coating. Finally, after re-inspection, striping, and packaging, the pencil thermal transfer film is printed.
4) Pencil thermal transfer processing
Pencil thermal transfer processing, through a one-time processing (heating and pressurizing) of the thermal transfer machine, the pattern on the printed thermal transfer film is transferred to the pencil surface, the thermal transfer ink layer is melted into the pencil surface, and after cooling, the pencil thermal transfer is completed.
