What is thermal transfer processing
Thermal transfer processing is a service process of transferring thermal transfer film to the surface of the substrate. Thermal transfer processing is a production service, or a packaging printing service.

2. Manufacturer's thermal transfer processing method:

Thermal transfer processing can be divided into two types: one is independent processing, and the other is outsourcing processing.

1. Independent processing: that is, the company is equipped with thermal transfer machines and printing personnel, purchases thermal transfer film from thermal transfer manufacturers, and then completes the transfer of patterns by itself.

2. Outsourcing processing: Manufacturers without thermal transfer machines or personnel, or manufacturers without thermal transfer production lines, transport products to thermal transfer processing manufacturers, and they print patterns. This method is outsourcing processing.

3. Factors for manufacturers to choose thermal transfer processing methods

What kind of processing method an enterprise chooses should be determined based on factors such as product material, enterprise production line conditions, production costs, and distance from the manufacturer.

1. In terms of product materials.

Some products are not suitable for outsourcing processing, such as glass. Although thermal transfer is suitable for them, they are fragile and easily damaged during handling and transportation. Some products are large in size, inconvenient to transport, and costly, such as large wooden boards. These products are suitable for processing alone.

2. In terms of the company's production line.

The company can introduce thermal transfer equipment and printing personnel, add production lines, and complete the processing. For those who originally did not have a thermal transfer processing production line, did not have a dedicated thermal transfer personnel, or it was difficult to introduce professional transfer personnel, they had to choose outsourcing.

3. Production cost.

Thermal transfer processing requires its professionalism. Enterprises outsourcing to professional thermal transfer manufacturers can reduce production costs. In this way, the company has carried out a professional division of labor, seized the line of its profit, and effectively reduced costs.

4. Factory distance.

Factory distance is a factor affecting thermal transfer processing. 4. Precautions before thermal transfer processing by manufacturers

1) Before hot stamping, thermal transfer processing has different requirements for different materials:

1. Keep the surface of the substrate smooth and dust-free

2. For frosted surface, a small amount of paint should be removed within the range allowed by the customer

3. Foam products need to be surface treated: that is, glue coating

4. Hardware products should be baked at 100-150 degrees for 15-25 minutes, while stainless steel should be baked at the same temperature for 10-15 minutes.

2) During processing, to ensure the hot stamping effect, the following points must be done:
a) Keep clean
1. Keep the important parts of the machine clean and free of oil and other dirt;
2. Keep the flower film clean and free of fingerprints and dust;
3. Keep the rubber head clean and free of rubber blocks;
4. Keep the substrate clean and free of dust and oil;
5. Keep the processor's hands clean and free of sweat, oil, etc.
b) Choose the appropriate hot stamping temperature
The hot stamping temperature has a significant impact on the hot stamping effect. Too high a hot stamping temperature may easily damage the substrate, and too low a hot stamping temperature may not achieve normal transfer. The hot stamping temperature should be determined based on factors such as the substrate, flower film, and thermal transfer machine.
Different materials have different hot stamping temperatures:

PP 210-230 degrees
PVC 190-210 degrees
PE 240-260 degrees
Metal 250-270 degrees
Glass 250-270 degrees

c) Choose the right hot stamping pressure
Similar to the hot stamping temperature, too much hot stamping pressure can easily damage the rubber head and substrate, and too little hot stamping pressure can affect the hot stamping effect. Therefore, hot stamping should be adjusted appropriately.

d) Hot stamping speed and hot stamping time
The hot stamping speed should be determined according to the substrate. Under the premise of not affecting the hot stamping effect, the faster the hot stamping speed, the higher the production efficiency and the shorter the processing time. However, some special products are not suitable for fast hot stamping.

In summary, when hot stamping with thermal transfer, before hot stamping, you must do a good job of cleaning, and choose the right hot stamping temperature, hot stamping and hot stamping speed during hot stamping.
