ABS thermal transfer
ABS thermal transfer
1. ABS thermal transfer application
ABS thermal transfer is very common in plastic thermal transfer.
ABS thermal transfer is used for the appearance decoration of ABS products with various flat, curved, special-shaped, cylindrical and conical surfaces.
Below, let's take a brief look at the process of ABS thermal transfer.
2.
ABS thermal transfer film production process
The production process of ABS thermal transfer film: First, entrust the plate-making factory to make the gravure electric engraving plate according to the drawings provided by the customer. After the gravure electric engraving plate is completed, it enters the production stage of thermal transfer printing film.

The production of ABS thermal transfer printing film can be briefly divided into 6 processes:
1. First, apply blank PET film (apply release agent) according to the process of the thermal transfer printing film to be made;
2. Print the flower film pattern (printing process);
3. Apply the corresponding glue to the printed thermal transfer film (glue coating process). It should be noted that the glue of ABS thermal transfer is different from that of other plastic materials. Be sure to distinguish them clearly;
4. Re-inspect the thermal transfer film coated with glue (re-inspection process) to ensure quality;
5. Divide the thermal transfer film into strips (stripping process);
6. Package the stripped thermal transfer film (packaging process).
After the production of ABS thermal transfer film is completed, it enters the transfer stage. First, the hot stamping mold for the substrate is installed, and then the thermal transfer machine is adjusted and tested. After everything is in place, the large-scale production of thermal transfer processing can be carried out.
3. Precautions for ABS thermal transfer
Since the chemical properties of ABS material are relatively stable, it can be well combined with the ink on the thermal transfer film, and the shrinkage rate is also relatively good, so you also need to pay attention to the pressure of the thermal transfer machine when hot stamping. The hot stamping temperature of such products is generally 180 degrees to 200 degrees, and the pressure is controlled at 0.5Kpa/s.
