What is thermal transfer ink?
1 What is thermal transfer ink? Thermal transfer ink actually refers to the ink that can transfer the pattern and text printed on a special carrier to other materials by heating and pressurizing. Thermal transfer printing film refers to a special functional printing film with adhesive. Under the combined action of heat and pressure, the pattern and text are separated from the carrier film together with the release layer and firmly transferred to the surface of the substrate. In the process of thermal transfer printing and making flower films, ink occupies an indispensable position. 2 There are several types of thermal transfer inks. Thermal transfer inks can generally be divided into three types according to their types: A. Special color inks. Special color inks generally refer to various color inks other than the series of varieties produced by ink manufacturers. In simple terms, they are colors specially formulated for customers' design drawings according to a certain proportion of thermal transfer inks. For example, some ink colors are difficult to formulate from the base color, and the formulation is unstable. Generally, in this case, customers are recommended to use special color inks. B. Base color inks. Base color inks are composed of three colors: cyan, magenta, and yellow, referred to as CMY. These three colors can constitute all the colors required for thermal transfer printing. When these three colors are superimposed together, they form black. Since the superimposed black is not bright enough and not full enough, another color, black, is needed, which forms the four-color printing in the printing industry.
C. Standard color ink
Standard color ink refers to a specific color or a set of color systems determined by an enterprise to create a unique corporate image. It is used in all visual communication design media to express the company's business philosophy and product service characteristics through the unique perceptual stimulation and psychological reaction of color.
