2 Flat
thermal transfer film printing process
Before the thermal transfer film printing operation begins, it is necessary to layout the thermal transfer pattern. After the gravure plate is made, the production stage of the thermal transfer printing film is entered.
1. The structure of flat thermal transfer film
Flat thermal transfer film is generally composed of 4 layers, namely, base layer, release layer, printing layer, and adhesive layer.
Base layer: the carrier of the release layer, printing layer, and adhesive layer - thermal transfer base film.
Release layer: It is a coating of release agent, which remains solid at room temperature, can be melted at a certain temperature, and the bonding force with the base layer becomes smaller, and it can quickly detach from the base film without any sticky residue.
Printing layer: This layer is the root of the beauty of the pattern of thermal transfer products, and the key lies in the selection and matching of thermal transfer inks.
Adhesive layer: Its actual composition is a kind of hot melt adhesive. According to different substrates, choose the corresponding thermal transfer glue.
2. Production of
flat thermal transfer film
1) Base film coating process: Cut the blank film according to the specifications of the pattern to be printed;
2) Base film release process: Apply "release agent" to the cut thermal transfer base film.
3) Pattern printing process: After the gravure plate is installed on the gravure printing machine for calibration and overprinting, the release film is installed on the gravure printing machine to start printing the thermal transfer film;
4) Adhesive glue coating process: After the flat thermal transfer film is printed, the printed thermal transfer film is coated with hot melt glue and the glue is dried;
Finally, after re-inspection, striping and packaging, the flat thermal transfer film is printed.
