Application of plastic thermal transfer film
1-Application of
plastic thermal transfer film
Plastic thermal transfer film is widely used in products in industries such as daily necessities, cosmetics, stationery, toys, electrical appliances, building materials, decorative materials, gifts, food packaging, signs, and printing and decoration of packaging.
2-Plastic
thermal transfer film of different materials
Because plastic thermal transfer of different materials is different in rigidity, shrinkage, heat resistance, chemical stability, etc.
So the hot stamping temperature of plastic thermal transfer film of different materials is also different.
1.
PVC, EVA plastic thermal transfer film
In terms of heat resistance, PVC and EVA materials are the worst, so when doing thermal transfer, you should choose a thermal transfer film that can be hot stamped at low temperature, and the temperature should be controlled at 140°C-160°C for the best.
2.
ABS, PS, and acrylic plastic thermal transfer films
ABS, PS, and acrylic materials have relatively stable chemical properties, can be well combined with the ink on the transfer film, and have a relatively good shrinkage rate. Therefore, it is also necessary to pay attention to the pressure of the thermal transfer machine during hot stamping. The hot stamping temperature of such products is generally 180°C -200°C for the best, and the pressure is controlled at 0.5Kpa/s.
3.
PP plastic thermal transfer film
PP has a higher surface strength, so during the thermal transfer process, compared with ABS, the pressure should be greater and the temperature should be higher. The temperature is generally controlled at 210-220 degrees for the best.
4.
PE plastic thermal transfer film
PE material is softer, has a lower density, and has poor surface adhesion, but good toughness. Therefore, among all plastic thermal transfers, the hot stamping temperature is the highest, generally controlled at 240-260 degrees, and the glue layer of the transfer film must be thick.
In summary, when doing plastic thermal transfer, the plastic thermal transfer film, transfer temperature, pressure control and other aspects used are different for plastics of different materials.

Plastic thermal transfer film process
Plastic thermal transfer film process is divided into two parts: plastic thermal transfer film printing and plastic thermal transfer processing:
1. Plastic thermal transfer film printing (resolution 300dpi): According to the size of the printed pattern and the substrate, the corresponding thermal transfer electric engraving plate is made, and the pattern is transferred and printed on the surface of the film through the electric engraving plate and the printer.
2. Plastic thermal transfer processing: The exquisite pattern on the transfer film is transferred to the product surface through a one-time processing (heating and pressurization) of the thermal transfer machine. After molding, the thermal transfer ink layer is integrated with the product surface.
