The development history of thermal transfer technology

Our country’s printing technology is very famous, and with the development of society, there are now very advanced equipment for processing.

1. Heat transfer printing In ancient times, or before the invention of synthetic dyes, only natural dyes extracted from plants, animals or minerals could be used for textile printing. Since the invention of synthetic pigments by W. Perkin in 1856, the application of natural dyes as textile dyes has been time-consuming and labor-intensive, and they cannot be pre-made into products ready for use. Therefore, it gradually lost its important status.

  2. However, Germany began to ban certain azo dyes in 1996. These dyes have been found to be carcinogenic, deformational and allergenic. Therefore, people have turned their attention to "environmentally friendly" special inks for thermal transfer machines. The reintroduction of natural environmentally friendly dyes has opened up business opportunities for the textile industry to use these dyes to develop new markets for natural printing and dyeing products. The natural textile products market is a huge market that needs to be fully developed.

 3. Thermal transfer printing processing needs to make full use of these natural resources and requires the joint efforts of many parties to develop corresponding technologies, processes and products. At present, most research focuses on natural dye dyeing and improving the color fastness of dyed products, while few involve its application in printing. This study only involves the application of 4 natural dyes in printing and products used in the preparation of silk and cotton printed fabrics, including clothing, home textiles and handicrafts. This research provides another new way to produce high value-added products.

4. Thermal transfer inks currently sold on the market are all chemical dyes, and the quality and various chemical elements of some inks are not up to standard, which will pose a threat to the human body, and some inks can even cause skin allergies and even respiratory tract infections. Countries in the European Union have begun to legislate against the adulteration of some chemical elements that are harmful to the human body, and exported textiles are subject to strict environmental certification inspections. Plant-specific ink is not only non-toxic and harmless, but also a truly green and environmentally friendly product. It also has various medical and health care effects, catering to modern people's consumer psychology of returning to nature and maintaining health and fitness.

5. Plant dyes are pure natural plant inks that are made from my country’s unique Chinese herbal medicine, flowers, tea, fruits and other plants, and are refined through many processes such as crushing, soaking, and steaming. They do not contain any chemical substances and are non-toxic and harmless. , textiles and clothing printed and dyed with it will not cause any harm to human health. The manufacturing process of pure natural plant dyes has completely independent intellectual property rights. Vegetable dyes are the best new products for exporting (especially to the EU, the United States, Japan, etc.) to earn foreign exchange. Thermal transfer plant ink is a pure natural plant and contains no chemical substances. It is the best new product to replace the export of chemical ink.
